The press setup and maintenance technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, repair, and supervision of the presses used in the production process. This role ensures the proper functioning of the machines, minimizing downtime and maintaining quality and safety standards. It also involves quality control of the produced parts and supporting the team in resolving production issues.
Main Responsibilities:
Mold setup on presses and quality control of parts during machine startup.
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on presses, ensuring they are always in optimal working condition.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
Collaborating with the production team to plan maintenance interventions without disrupting workflow.
Monitoring press performance and suggesting improvements to optimize efficiency.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Training and assisting production staff on proper press use and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Technical diploma or professional qualification in mechanical, electrical, or related fields.
Previous experience in press or industrial machinery maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Problem-solving attitude and ability to work in a team.
For candidates without experience who wish to start this profession, strong motivation, seriousness, and reliability are required.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of diagnostic and measuring instruments.
Experience with predictive maintenance procedures.
